Introduction: A Tiny Bit About Me and How I Format my Reviews

Greetings to all of you, and welcome to Pokenalysis. Here, you will find all sorts of reviews about Pokemon. Whether it be about individual Pokemon, abilities, items, moves, or whole games in general. I will try my hardest to post at least weekly for your guys' enjoyment. This is an idea that I had for a very long time and I am so glad that I can finally put it into effect. So without further ado, let me show you how these individual reviews are going to work. I'll show you how I review other things once the time is right.

I will be going through every Pokemon in the National Dex from Victini to Volcanion (and further when new Pokemon come out). If a Pokemon has an evolution or two, I will cover all of them at once, including mega evolutions. If a Pokemon has a branched evolution, I will count them as two different lines and ditch the basic Pokemon entirely. As for everything else, I will address that in how the format will work. This is the basic look of it:

Name: Name of Pokemon here

Description: This area will cover the basic descriptions of each Pokemon. This part will involve it's design, mythology, and other miscellaneous facts. Basically, you'll see anything here that doesn't have to do with battle.

Battle Style: This is where you will see how this Pokemon performs in battle. It will cover statistics, moves, and type effectiveness and weakness. I have decided to split battle style reviews between generations because during the course of time, lots of these Pokemon do change, whether it be for better or for worse. Everything you will see in each generation will be shown down below.

Generation 1: Here, I will talk about how this Pokemon plays in Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. Everything stated above is what I'll be talking about here, so there isn't much to say (This part will not be shown if the Pokemon being reviewed is from Generation 2 or later).

Generation 2: Here, I will talk about how this Pokemon plays in Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Things that will be covered here will include everything previously stated, but also changes made on the Pokemon in this generation. Changes include different stats, new evolutions, different moves, and more (This part will not be shown if the Pokemon being reviewed is from Generation 3 or later).

Generation 3: Here, I will talk about how this Pokemon plays in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. The primary focus in this section will be abilities, since they pretty much change the entire game. Other changes include capability in double battles, different moves, new evolutions, and more (This part will not be shown if the Pokemon being reviewed is from Generation 4 or later).

Generation 4: Here, I will talk about how this Pokemon plays in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. In this generation, there is only one big change regarding Pokemon, but it does change a lot for the Pokemon; the physical/special split on moves. Other changes include new evolutions, different moves, and capabilities in different strategies (This part will not be shown if the Pokemon being reviewed is from Generation 5 or later).

Generation 5: Here, I will talk about how this Pokemon plays in Black, White, and its sequels. There weren't many major changes in this generation regarding the battle format, so there won't be too much here. Some minor changes include different moves, capability in triple and rotation battles, and other changes (This part will not be shown if the Pokemon being reviewed is from Generation 6).

Generation 6: Here, I will talk about how this Pokemon plays in X and Y. The biggest thing I will talk about here is Mega Evolution, which made used-to-be useless Pokemon completely powerful. Other changes include Different moves, new evolutions, and how it deals with the new type, Fairy.

Personal Experience: Here, I talk about what my experience was when it came to using this certain Pokemon. There isn't much to say here except, this is 100% me.

Overall Rating: Finally, I consider everything I have previously said and give the Pokemon an overall rating on a scale of 1 to 10. Here is what each number on the scale will represent:

10: Perfect
9: Outstanding
8: Great
7: Good
6: Solid
5: Okay
4: Mediocre
3: Bad
2: Horrendous
1: 100% Unusable

Even though I say I will be posting AT LEAST once a week, these reviews are going to be posted only once a week. The rest of the week will involve abilities, items, and moves. I will be starting off with just these, though, mainly because I want to find my own individual style before I get super big on my work. If you have any questions about the blog, leave them in the comments below, and I will post my first analysis tomorrow on Bulbasaur.

Thank you so much for reading,
                                              Pokenalysis.
